Hello Butterflies, I hope all of you are having a fantastic start in the new year. The beginning of this year has been wonderful; with meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends. Building new relationships and closing chapters in my life, is just the beginning of what this 2020 year is going to bring me. It’s crazy to think that I was crowned seven months ago Miss Gay Pennsylvania America 2019. Time is flying by and before we know it, we will be crowning our next Miss Gay Pennsylvania America 2020.

 

Now let me slow things down, and let’s embrace every moment we have together. We have our next preliminary pageant coming up on March 28th for Miss Gay NorthEast Pennsylvania America 2020. This title, I hold close to my heart, because this is the first title that I won and represented at the state level last year. Have you ever been excited for a special event, and it didn’t turn out the way you planned? It’s like you feel the world is out to get you, and you desire for it to go the right way. But what is the right way?

 

It’s those moments that help us understand that we need to change our outlook on how we feel things are going to go. Overlooking the situation, and knowing that no matter what, you still would have had the same outcome. Some of life’s blessings are not meant to be understood right away. I had something happen to me not too long ago, which really helped me open my eyes. When you embrace every memory, you hold onto it more than you would with a material object. What I’m really trying to say is, expect the unexpected in life; and when life hands you lemons, you must make a meatloaf. Remember that even when we don’t understand, just ask yourself what can I learn from this experience.
