Hello Butterflies,

        Wow, I cannot believe that it is almost September. It has been one full year since I was crowned Miss Gay Pennsylvania America 2019. I remember it like it was yesterday, all the time and preparation that it took, and all the people behind that scenes that helped me achieve my dream. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported me every step of the way. Remember, to anyone who is thinking of competing for the Miss Gay Pennsylvania America pageant for the 2021 season, use all of this time so that you perfect your package for a city prelim that you may be interested in competing in. If anyone is thinking of competing, do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, or even if you just want to talk and learn more. 

    I have some special events coming up within the next couple of months. I will also have the honor of participating in this year’s first ever Y.E.S. event, which will be held in October. The Y.E.S. organization is the first ever of its kind in the Schuylkill Valley, and it’s a nonprofit organization. Y.E.S. stands for Youth Empowerment & Support. This touches my heart because I love to empower the youth. Earlier in the summer I had the pleasure of performing in the first ever Pottsville Pa Pride. It was a huge success. So many young LGBTQ+ kids truly felt the love and power that each performer shared while they were on that stage. Being able to speak to each of them and allowing their voice to be heard, has helped them understand that they are never alone and that there is someone out there just like them...that they will always have a seat at the table.

    I hope that you all are continuing to practice social distancing and keeping yourselves safe. I was incredibly happy when I was able to go back to my salon to work on June 26th. But I have put in a lot of overtime to ensure that we keep the safety of our clients’ health at top priority, as well as the staff. I hope that wherever you a currently working, that they are doing the same. We all must do this together, and stand up for our health!

    The Miss Gay Pennsylvania America team and I have some new and exciting things coming up that we are working on, and they will be revealed in the near future. Keep being you, Keep being true, and never allow anyone to dim the light that belongs to you.
