Where there is Hope, there is Life...

Hello my Loves,

I would like to start off by saying that I am safe and healthy at home, and I hope that you all are doing the same. Everyone that has been affected by the COVID-19 virus, I send you all my love and prayers at this time. I would like to say thank you to all the countless people, nurses, and other healthcare providers that risk their lives everyday to make sure we have the shelves stocked, and our loved ones cared for.

It’s very important to make sure that we all are following the guidelines that the government has in place, for our safety. I know that the impact of this virus may feel like an everlasting cycle of fear and uncertainty, but remember, time will heal; and this too shall pass. I have been impacted by this virus outbreak, and can relate to any emotion that has presented itself. The power of fear is quite strong, but not as strong as love, kindness, and compassion. I have seen so many beautiful selfless acts, that truly touch my heart. They show, that no matter what life throws at us, we can still rise above it all, and come together as a community.

Now with all that being said, it’s with a heavy heart that I must announce, that we are cancelling the Miss Gay Pennsylvania America 2020 season. We will be picking back up in 2021, right where we left off. For those who have qualified so far in our season of city preliminaries, your title will move over to the following year, and you will be able to compete for Miss Gay Pennsylvania America 2021. We had four more city preliminaries set to take place this season, and I know that we had contestants that were ready. Please don’t lose that drive and focus. Don’t take this as a setback, but rather, ten steps forward. Now you have all this additional time to perfect your art and craft. We look forward to seeing all of you back next year, healthy, and ready to go.

I always say that things happen for a reason, and I firmly believe that. Take this moment to spend time with your love ones and family. All we have is each other, and staying healthy, needs to be our top priority. If you do not have to leave your home, please don’t. Even though I’m going crazy at home with my full house, I know that I must be selfless. The last thing that I want to see happen, is to get sick, and then get the rest of my family sick. If you know someone who is/has been impacted by this pandemic, reach out to them to show your support; and your act of kindness will truly touch the lives of many.

Once we're smooth sailing again, I will be looking into any benefits or fundraisers that will help those that have been affected during this time. If donating my time and talents can help or change lives at all, I will be honored to help in any way, shape, or form. Remember, please be kind to one another. The power of a selfless act has more impact than you think.

With all my love Butterflies,
