Changing Seasons, Same Determination...
What's up Pennsylvania! Your King here, and this month, we have many events to share, that are honestly, positive advancements of great reusable energy.
As you may know, I am a New York native, and this year we had two major anniversaries; the 50th celebration of the Stonewall riots & The Harlem Renaissance. I attended the 50th African-American Day Parade. As a proud African-American & a titleholder, it was a great event, that it was my honor to share with the rest of the Black Excellence we have in the concrete jungle. More importantly for me, I wanted to extend the Keystone state's support to the Empire State, especially with it being the backdrop for my personal development.
I did not walk in the parade, however, I posted alongside the start of the parade route. During the entire four hours, I presented and proudly showcased myself to have earned praise from the NYPD, in a salute & siren ringing. WBLS, a local & popular radio station for the urban market, gave me a massive shout out over the microphone. I saw my cousin Greek organization of Zeta Phi Beta National Sorority, Inc & Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, giving me a huge congrats and acknowledgement. The biggest part of this parade, was that for the first time in nine years, I spoke to Gary Louis Washington, who if you can gather, is my biological father. He saw me in sash for the first time, and Yes, I have my own issues with him, but as your King, I needed to floss. Lastly, I made great friends with the newly crowned Miss Black New Jersey America 2020; and getting the biggest shout from her, was epic; and it reminds me of why I love pageantry.
While on the sidelines of the parade, I garnered massive amounts of visibility. It once again, validates, that the year and five months of reigning, is really worth it.
