Introduction
October 2022
After a day of rest and unpacking... I'M YOUR MISS GAY PENNSYLVANIA AMERICA 2022! It took an extreme amount of planning, preparation, ripping my knee open, and a ton of stress, but we did it. Every category, baby!
To the judges (Shawn Ingram, Bobby Anspach, Sabrina White, Brad Varner, and Eric Brown), thank you so much for taking the time to give quality critiques and wisdom! I'm excited to take what was shared and apply it to nationals this year.
To Divinity Cruzz, congratulations on a beautiful stepdown! Thank you for frequently checking on us and ensuring that we were ok! Dextaci Miss-Gay America, thank you for putting up with me all weekend! Can't wait to drive you nuts again in Little Rock!
To the formers (too many to list), thank you for being so involved in checking in with us in the dressing room! You all are gorgeous and I cannot wait to become even closer this year! Special thanks to Michelle Leigh Sterling for the beautiful jewelry.
To all the promoters who are like family (Sean Sabot, Randy, Adam Feeser, Jeremy Clayton, and Ben P Abl), thank you for dealing with the 1,000 questions I had and always troubleshooting things promptly and swiftly! You guys are so reliable! And
congrats to Ben for winning Prelim Of The Reign as well as Sean and Randy for winning Promoters Of The Reign.
To my team of dancers (Kyan Morrison, Kat, Vic, Ed Charm, William Brazdzionis, Sam) and my inspiring choreographer (Frankie Markocki), WE DID THAT! Thank you for the hard work, determination, and excellent dedication in rehearsals and on that stage. Can't wait to go to nationals with you all! To my incredible support team (Don Davis, Jimmy DjMiro Mirynowski, Christopher Zanon, Samantha Bedford, and Quinn Richard), thank you for everything! Even if it was just carrying a bag or coming over for a bonfire so I could take a break with fabulous company, I thank you and am grateful to have you all in my life. Anthony Veltre, thank you for pushing me to be a better me every day. Also, thanks for dressing me, helping with makeup, and giving me confidence backstage! Derek Lightcap, thank you so much for aiding with planning, doing jewelry, and ALWAYS being the go-to person for questions of execution. You are one of the biggest reasons I have had as much success as I have had. You give me that tough love that I need and I am so grateful. James Major, thank you for always being the "pageant daddy" and helping with ALL loose ends. I put you through it this weekend, but now we get to sit back and ride this awesome ride (until nationals, at least)!
To the people I got to compete WITH (not against) and share a night of memories in the dressing room (Michael Edwards, Andrew Trixie Deflair Kistler, James Snyder, and Kendryaliz D'quest), we put on one INCREDIBLE "homosexual program!" You are all an inspiration to me. Thank you for the awesome conversation, support, and sisterhood that this state needs to see more of!
To the fabulous designers who helped make this journey possible (Aron Harvey for gown, Athena Winters for gown hair, Derek Lightcap for jewels, Bryan Philip Neel for promo photos, Ricardo Virgo for presentation hair, Ryan Taylor and Abraham D Levy for presentation costume, Krymson Scholar for opening hair, and Brooklyn Starr for talent costuming), THANK YOU! You made this pageant possible!
To all that were there or present in spirit who have donated, supported, and cared, THANK YOU ALL! In male interview and on-stage question, I commited to you that I will juggle all of my responsibilities with due-diligence to grow this system. It is my personal goals to (1) create a space where formers, interested and qualified contestants, new and returning promoters, and all those in between can grow closer than ever to strengthen the legacy and (2) to create more opportunities for those to showcase their excellence. I am driven, motivated, and READY for this job, and I humbly say thank you to those who have helped and are ready to help with this large undertaking. I am committed to these goals and so many more, and that work starts TODAY. Thank you!
I hope you're hungry, because there will be PLENTY to bite into during my reign [🍎] [🍏] [🍎] [🍏] !
Best regards,
Kali Coutour
